How it began
It started with a question
What is happening right now at the frontier of research, in a field where you are not an expert yourself?
Behind it was a simple curiosity about research. There is no shortage of research papers, but they are written for specialists, and without a background in the field it is hard to find a way in.
That curiosity led to a prototype. It tapped into openly accessible study sources, had AI explain the studies in plain language and made it possible to scroll through current research and open whatever looked interesting.

AI Peer Review points out strengths and limitations of a study. Deep Answer answers research questions from several studies, with sources. Transfer Lab and Patent Agent show where an idea could lead next.

Focus on educationReal research in the classroom
Scientific work starts at school. With Theoria, students work with real, current studies: they find a topic, understand methods and results and learn to check sources critically. That fits extended essays, projects and upper secondary lessons.
For students
Explanations at the right depth, Albert for questions about terms and methods, and the Student Research Toolkit with research questions, critical analysis questions and method explanations for school projects.
For teachers
The Teacher Lesson Kit plans a differentiated lesson from a paper, with a student handout, based on grade band, duration and lesson focus. It is available to teachers with Theoria Education.

The source stays within reach
Every explanation belongs to an original publication. You can always go back to it and check important statements yourself.
Openly accessible studies
Theoria works with openly accessible publications, for example from preprint servers such as arXiv and medRxiv. Preprints have often not yet been reviewed by experts.
AI is a tool
Summaries and analyses are generated with AI and can contain mistakes. They do not replace review by experts, nor medical, legal or financial advice.
